Dr Kerstin GallerDr Kerstin Galler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Periodontology at the University of Regensburg, Germany. She received a DDS degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich in 2000, following which she worked in private practice in Germany for several years. |

She completed post-doctoral training with Professor Rena D’Souza at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and earnt her PhD in Bioengineering from Rice University in Houston under the mentorship of Professor Jeffrey Hartgerink (2009). In Regensburg, her time is divided between clinical work (with focus on endodontology), teaching and research. Her current research interest involves tunable hydrogel scaffolds in combination with dental stem cells for use in dental pulp tissue engineering and regenerative endodontics. |
