Admittance and Name Badges
Registrants should collect their name badge and Conference material from the onsite Registration and Information Desk. Name badges must be worn at all times to gain entry to all sessions, social functions and the exhibition area. Security staff will be asked to refuse entry to anyone not wearing their name badge.
Car Parking
The Car Park entrance is at the northern end of the building, accessible from traffic lights off the Gold Coast Highway and the main driveway off TE Peters Drive. A $10 inclusive of GST flat rate is charged for car parking at the Centre. The car park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Catering
All morning/afternoon teas and lunches will be served in the Exhibition Area, Arena 2 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. This catering is included with registration.
Childcare
Please note that no official arrangements have been made for childcare during the Conference. Please check with your hotel as they should be able to assist you with a child minding service.
Conference Website
The information provided within this brochure is correct at the time of printing. The Conference website will be updated regularly throughout the Conference planning period and you are encouraged to visit regularly for updates and new information.
Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the Conference and book your travel you consider an insurance policy of your choice to protect your interests in relations to cancellations, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property. The Conference Managers cannot take any responsibility for participants failing to arrange their own insurance.
Messages
Messages for delegates attending the Conference can be left with staff at the Conference Registration and Information Desk. A message board will be located near the registration desk. All messages taken will be placed on the message board. It will be the responsibility of delegates attending the Conference to check for messages on a regular basis. Messages cannot be personally delivered.
Mobility, Vision, Hearing or Other Impairments
Every effort will be made to accommodate people with mobility, vision, hearing or other impairments. If you have specific needs or require information, please indicate this at the time of registration.
Privacy Statement
Information gathered from registration and other Conference forms will be used to administer the Conference including accommodation, catering, transport, sponsorship and exhibition. Smoking Policy
The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and other venues/areas of the Conference are non-smoking areas.
Special Requirements
Every effort will be made to accommodate people with special dietary requirements however advanced notification may be required. Given this, please indicate special dietary requirements at the time of registration.
Travel
A close proximity of Gold Coast hotels, in many cases, eliminates the need for on ground transportation as delegates can walk to many venues and activities. When transportation is required options include bus, taxi, shuttles and rail.
Regent taxis service the length of the Gold Coast. Prices from the Gold Coast Airport to Broadbeach cost around $40 – $50.
The Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle offers a range of services including door to door transfers from the Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta to your accommodation. Prices are $19 one way per adult and $35 return per adult. Bookings can be made by calling 1300 655 655 or by emailing reservations@tagroup.net.au
Gold Coast Airport is less than 30 minutes drive to the centre of Surfers Paradise, while Brisbane Domestic and International Airport is less than one hour drive. Direct flights to and from all capital cities and regional areas, plus a majority of metropolitan centres across the globe are readily available through a wide range of airlines.
Visa and Visitors to Australia
All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa before boarding their plane regardless of the length of stay. Refer to the Conference website for further information regarding visa information.
Note: New Zealand and Norfolk Island passport holders do not usually need to lodge a visa application prior to their departure unless they have a health and/or character concerns.
What to Wear
Smart casual attire will be suitable for all sessions. For social and networking functions, refer to the Social Program for more information on the appropriate dress code for each function.
